The 2025 Travelers Championship gets underway Thursday, June 19 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut.
All 72 players in this year’s tournament will compete for four rounds. The Travelers Championship offers a $20 million purse, with $3.6 million going to the winner.
The 2025 tournament will feature the top 10 players in the official world golf ranking, and 45 of the top 50. Players include Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 player in the world and the tournament’s defending champion; Rory McIlroy (No. 2); Xander Schauffele (No. 3); Collin Morikawa (No. 4); and Justin Thomas (No. 5).
This year’s tournament marks The Travelers Companies’ 19th consecutive year as title sponsor. It is the final Signature Event of the PGA TOUR season.
Since Travelers became title sponsor in 2007, the tournament has generated tens of millions of dollars for hundreds of local and regional charities. In 2024, 206 nonprofit organizations benefited from the more than $3.2 million generated by the event.
This year’s primary beneficiary will again be The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, an organization based in Ashford, Connecticut, that provides a traditional summer camp experience for children with serious illnesses. A variety of other charities – focusing on arts and culture, education, health care, housing, human services, mental health, food insecurity, science and technology, and youth development – also benefit from their involvement with the Travelers Championship.
Ticketed spectators will be allowed on-site starting Wednesday, June 18.
The Golf Channel, CBS and ESPN will provide coverage. The event can also be streamed on Paramount+.
