Anthropic is giving its Claude platform some extra muscle. The San Francisco AI startup said Thursday that companies using its Enterprise and Teams plans can now add premium seats that come with Claude Code, an AI-powered coding assistant built to handle everything from editing to testing to version control integration.
The pitch is simple: help developers move faster. Claude Code is priced at $150 per month per premium seat on Team plans, compared with $30 for a standard seat. Enterprise pricing hasn’t been disclosed. It puts Anthropic right up against Microsoft’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) GitHub Copilot and Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) enterprise AI offerings.
Some early feedback has been eye-catching. Altana, a New York supply-chain software company, said Claude Code sped up development work by as much as 10x. That kind of boost underscores Anthropic’s aim to turn Claude into more than just a chatbot a real coding partner for businesses.
Backed by Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Google and Lightspeed, Anthropic is already a central player in the AI race. And with Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) reportedly eyeing Claude to power its Siri reboot, the startup’s profile is only climbing.
