Revision Skincare Appoints CEO | BoF

Professional beauty brand Revision Skincare has appointed Lisa Paley as chief executive, the company announced on Thursday. Paley joins from Haleon, the maker of personal health brands like Advil and Sensodyne, and has over 25 years of leadership across other consumer wellness brands such as Johnson & Johnson and GSK.

According to Matt Farron, a partner and co-head of the consumer division at parent company Gryphon Investors, Paley will be tasked with building out the brand’s geographic presence and innovation pipeline.

“[Paley’s] experience building science-backed brands across the consumer health, wellness and beauty spectrum makes her the ideal leader to accelerate our business in the US and key global markets,” Farron said in a statement.

In the statement, Paley said the current market conditions were particularly exciting given the ongoing convergence between health and beauty trends.

“I look forward to building on [Revision Skincare’s] legacy to bring even more transformative skin health solutions to professionals and consumers,” she said.

Revision Skincare’s premium range of products includes cleansers, serums and moisturisers. Much of its distribution is via doctors’ offices and aesthetic clinics, as well as on its own e-commerce site. The brand was founded in 1984, and was acquired by Gryphon Investors in 2021.

As young customers increase their uptake of so-called “tweakments”, minimally invasive procedures like dermal fillers, Botox and laser facials, it has created a halo effect for beauty companies to produce complementary products.
