Live Stream 2025 Thanksgiving Football

It’s Turkey Day, which means that there are several must-see NFL games on tap. We’ve compiled everything you need to know about how to watch Chiefs vs. Cowboys, including live streaming options for those without cable.

One of the most anticipated games of the day is hosted by the Dallas Cowboys, an annual Thanksgiving tradition. The 5-5-1 Cowboys will face the 6-5 Kansas City Chiefs in a match-up with playoff implications. It’s the first Chiefs vs. Cowboys game since 2021, when Kansas City won 19-9 at home. However, the Cowboys hold a historically strong record against the Chiefs for games played in Texas.

The teams head into their 2025 match-up with fairly even season records, due in part to a difficult start to the season for the Chiefs. Both teams are still in playoff contention, especially after recent wins against the Indianapolis Colts (Chiefs) and the Philadelphia Eagles (Cowboys), but we’ve reached a point in the season where every win (and loss) has postseason implications.

It’s safe to say that today is a can’t-miss game for Chiefs and Cowboys fans (and anyone looking to relax on the couch while they sleep off their Thanksgiving meal). If you don’t want to read any further, the cheapest way to live stream the game in the US is through Paramount Plus’ special Black Friday deal, which we’ll break down below. If you’re hoping to tune into more football games this season, check out our how to watch NFL games streaming guide.

How to watch Chiefs vs. Cowboys in the US

The Chiefs vs. Cowboys game will air on CBS in the United States. The game is scheduled to kick off on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. ET. Cord-cutters can live stream the game through a variety of streaming services, but Paramount Plus is our top recommendation thanks to the limited-time Paramount Plus Black Friday deal. Both Paramount Plus Essential and Paramount Plus Premium are just $3 a month for the first two months of service. This is a 63% discount for Essential, which normally costs $8 a month, and a 77% discount for Premium, which typically costs $13 a month.

Both tiers of service carry NFL on CBS games, so it doesn’t matter which one you choose today. Paramount Plus Essential includes ad-supported on-demand content, while Premium unlocks ad-free on-demand viewing, Showtime programming, and a 24/7 CBS live stream.

Paramount Plus Essential (Monthly Plan)

Paramount Plus is perfect for viewers who want to stream CBS TV shows, local NFL games, and tons of content from Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET, and MTV. And if you get the premium tier you can also unlock ad-free streaming and access to Showtime.

If you’d prefer to watch the game through a streaming app that carries other NFL-friendly channels beyond CBS, then a live TV streaming service will be able to do the trick. DirecTV and Fubo are two of the best sports streaming services we’ve tested.

DirecTV carries CBS in all of its signature packages, which start at $90 a month (often less, thanks to some intro offers), but CBS is also available in DirecTV’s MySports genre pack, which costs $70 a month. New users can get their first two months for $60 a month after a five-day free trial. Plus, MySports unlocks ESPN Unlimited access. There’s occasionally some regional variability on local channels, so it’s a good idea to see what’s available in your ZIP code before signing up for MySports.

DirecTV’s MySports pack carries popular sports channels, from mainstays like ESPN to niche offerings like the ACC Network.

Fubo Sports + News, a pared-down and cheaper package, carries CBS and around 28 other sports and news-centric channels in its lineup. Subscriptions cost $56 a month, but new users can get their first month for $46 after a one-day free trial. Like DirecTV, Fubo offers ESPN Unlimited access.

The new Fubo Sports + News pack is only available in select areas. It combines 20+ major sports channels (including the new ESPN Unlimited) and select local networks (ABC, CBS, and FOX).

How to watch Chiefs vs. Cowboys from anywhere

If you’re traveling abroad and hoping to keep up with your usual watch options, it might be time to try a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs are fast and easy-to-use tech tools that allow people to alter the location on their electronic devices. This way, they can use their usual apps and websites from anywhere. They’re also strong ways to improve cybersecurity, even while at home. The services we’ve recommended above require US payment methods, so this option will work best for Americans who are traveling away from home right now.

NordVPN is one of the best VPNs on the market and our current top recommendation, thanks to its large selection of servers, security perks, and 30-day money-back guarantee. Plus, you can save some money with the service’s Black Friday deals. You can learn more about the app in our NordVPN review.

NordVPN is one of the top VPN services in the business. It offers excellent value with a strong selection of features and a low monthly price. A wide selection of international servers, high-end security, fast connections, and audited privacy protection have made the brand a household name in the world of VPNs.

Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries, and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.
