Snowflake (NYSE:SNOW) is pulling Google’s latest AI models closer to enterprise data, announcing that Google’s Gemini 3 is now available inside its Cortex AI platform.
The update lets Snowflake customers running on Google Cloud tap Gemini 3 for generative AI and advanced analytics without moving sensitive data around. Snowflake framed the move as a way to keep AI fast, secure and tightly integrated with existing data workflows, something companies are increasingly demanding as they move from AI pilots to real use cases. The launch follows talks last year between Snowflake and Google about embedding Gemini models directly into Snowflake’s ecosystem.
Alongside the AI rollout, Snowflake said it is expanding its Google Cloud footprint, launching services in Saudi Arabia and Melbourne as global demand continues to climb. Snowflake executive Christian Kleinerman said pairing Google’s AI infrastructure with Snowflake’s data platform helps customers build and deploy AI applications with far less friction.enterprises want powerful AI where their data already lives, and Snowflake is racing to meet that expectation.
