Toast to provide POS technology for Preferred Hotels & Resorts

US-based hotel technology platform Toast has entered a partnership with Preferred Hotels & Resorts to provide point-of-sale (POS) technology.

The agreement positions Toast as a recommended POS technology provider, including software, hardware, and payments, for member properties in Canada, Ireland, the UK and the US.

The collaboration is part of Preferred Hotels & Resortsโ€™ Alliance Partner Program and will support hotel and resort locations requiring technology to manage complex food, beverage and retail operations.

Preferred Hotels & Resorts represents over 625 hotels, resorts, residences, and hotel groups across more than 80 countries.

The company provides its member properties with resources such as sales, marketing, revenue management and global reservations services.

By partnering with Toast, Preferred Hotels & Resorts aims to enhance its service offerings to owners, operators, and management companies through enhanced technology integration.

Toastโ€™s POS technology, including Toast Go 3 handheld devices with LTE capabilities, will be available to Preferred Hotels & Resorts members under this partnership.

The arrangement is intended to support member hotels in operating their hospitality services and retail venues, utilising Toastโ€™s suite of products.

The Alliance Partner Program at Preferred Hotels & Resorts connects trusted suppliers such as Toast with its independent hotel members, with a focus on technological solutions and operational support.

Toastโ€™s inclusion in the programme extends its reach into the independent hotel sector by supporting the technology requirements of diverse hospitality environments across participating countries.

Toast Enterprise chief marketing officer and chief operating officer Kelly Esten said: โ€œFor a brand like Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the little things matter as much in a luxury dining room as they do on a poolside patio.

โ€œToast provides the technology that enables world-class properties to manage complex, multi-concept operations across multiple countries while delivering unique, unforgettable stays for each individual guest.โ€

In March, financial infrastructure company ROH joined Preferred Hotels & Resorts as the latest participant in its Alliance Partner Program.

“Toast to provide POS technology for Preferred Hotels & Resorts” was originally created and published by Hotel Management Network, a GlobalData owned brand.
