Bitdeer Technologies Group (NASDAQ: $BTDR) has appointed a new chief financial officer (CFO).
The Singapore-based Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) miner has named veteran technology executive Michael Potter as its new CFO.ย
Potter previously served as the CFO of gaming hardware manufacturer Corsair Gaming (NASDAQ: $CRSR) between 2019 and 2025, where he led the company’s 2020 initial public offering (IPO).ย
More From Cryptoprowl:
Before Corsair, Potter held senior roles at Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: $LSCC) and Honeywell (NASDAQ: $HON).ย
Potterโs appointment comes as Bitdeerโs current CFO Jianchun Liu prepares to step down at the end of June.
Bitdeer added that Liu has resigned for personal reasons and that he will remain with the company as an advisor for an unspecified period of time after June of this year.
Potter comes to Bitdeer as the company expands beyond Bitcoin mining to artificial intelligence (A.I.) and cloud computing infrastructure.
Bitdeer has leaned into A.I. infrastructure in recent quarters, with earnings reports emphasizing cloud services, high-performance computing (HPC), and colocation alongside Bitcoin mining.
Management has said that its annualized A.I. cloud revenue recently reached $70 million U.S., while its semiconductor deployments climbed to 4,100 units with more than 90% utilization.ย
BTDR stock has gained 33% this year to trade at $15.41 U.S. per share.ย
