Rémy Cointreau has appointed A Brand New Day as its distributor in the Netherlands.

From 1 October, A Brand New Day, based in the southern Dutch city of Breda, will be “responsible for the distribution, brand development and commercial expansion” of Rémy Cointreau’s stable in the country.

In April, Campari announced its distribution contract in the Netherlands with A Brand New Day would end from next month.

Bob Valentijn, A Brand New Day’s MD, said Rémy Cointreau’s brands have “exceptional heritage, strong identities and tremendous potential”.

He added: “We believe that our entrepreneurial approach, local market knowledge and passion for brand building provide a very strong platform for their next phase of growth in the Netherlands.”

The France-based spirits group markets brands including Rémy Martin Cognac and The Botanist gin in the country.

“We believe that there is significant potential to grow faster together, and we believe that ABND with their proven commercial execution and impactful brand storytelling will realise this long-term growth ambition for our brands”, chief markets officer Ian McLernon said.

Rémy Cointreau does not disclose sales data for the Netherlands, nor for the wider European region.

The company’s accounts break its sales into three geographic areas: EMEA, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. In Rémy Cointreau’s 2025/26 financial year, the company booked €218.1m ($253.5m) in sales in the EMEA region, down from €226.9m 12 months earlier.

Group sales reached €935.3m, versus €984.6m the previous year.

From next year, A Brand New Day will expand into Belgium and Luxembourg.

The company’s business in its home market also includes Lekker Fris, which focuses on non-alcoholic products and handles brands including Evian and Capri-Sun.

“Rémy Cointreau names new Dutch distributor” was originally created and published by Just Drinks, a GlobalData owned brand.
