Irish trading broker AvaTrade has reached preliminary agreements with a group of investors for a capital injection into the company, Finance Magnates has learned. The transaction includes a secondary component, and is still in an early stage.
Founded in 2006, AvaTrade is a brokerage headquartered in Ireland, offering retail trading in Futures and CFDs.
In 2024, under the leadership of CEO Daire Ferguson, AvaTrade expanded its product suite with the launch of AvaFuture, a dedicated platform for futures trading.
Back in 2021, Sky News reported that AvaTrade had appointed JP Morgan and Jefferies to lead preparations for a London Stock Exchange IPO, targeting a valuation of up to £700 million. However, the company has remained privately held, continuing to rely on private financing, M&A activity, and internal resources rather than pursuing a public listing.
