Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG | GOOG Price Prediction) has been a stealth winner in 2026. Shares are up 9.36% year to date and 42.62% over the past year, powered by an AI story that finally showed up in the numbers.
Google Cloud grew 82% in Q2, Gemini Enterprise is deployed at nearly 90% of the Fortune 100, and CEO Sundar Pichai told investors Alphabet is โstill in a supply constraint environmentโ.
With the stock recently brushing its 52-week high of $403.96, the question is whether $400 is a ceiling or a launching pad. Here is how GOOG could reach $500 in 2027.
Wall Street Is Bullish, But Not Bullish Enough
The Streetโs consensus 12-month target sits at $422.34, with 13 strong buys, 44 buys, and just 5 holds. Analysts see revenue reaching roughly $613 billion in 2027 against $498 billion this year.
The 2026 EPS estimate has jumped from $14.23 ninety days ago to $20.60 today, one of the sharpest upward revisions in mega-cap tech. Alphabet has also beaten consensus in 11 consecutive quarters and posted 12 straight quarters of double-digit revenue growth, meaning actual results are likely to run ahead of what analysts are modeling.
Path to $500 Per Share
At $342.50, GOOG trades at roughly 23x the 2027 consensus EPS of $14.87, essentially in line with the S&P 500โs 22x forward multiple. Reaching $500 would put shares at about 34x 2027 estimates.
That is a premium, but a defensible one for a business compounding operating income 30% year over year at a 32.81% net margin.

What could push GOOG to $500?
- Cloud backlog conversion. Alphabetโs cloud backlog hit $514 billion, with management guiding to recognize just over 50% as revenue in the next 24 months.
- TPU systems revenue. Pichai said the vast majority of TPU system sales revenue will be realized in 2027, opening a new hardware line.
- Gemini monetization. The Gemini app now has 950 million monthly active users, AI Mode has crossed 1 billion MAU, and AI-powered campaigns deliver 15% more conversions on average.
- Rising estimates. Over the trailing 30 days, 2027 EPS saw 9 upward revisions against just 1 downward.
- Optionality. Waymo is running over 500,000 fully autonomous rides per week, and Isomorphic Labs raised over $2 billion for its drug design pipeline.
History Says a Move to $500 Is Doable
Reaching $500 from here requires roughly a 46% gain. GOOG delivered 42.62% in the past 12 months alone and 143.63% over five years.
Our internal modelโs bull case pegs a one-year price of $569.14, with a base case of $504.76. A repeat of the past yearโs gain would put GOOG comfortably beyond $500.
Bottom Line on $500
The risks are real: Q2 free cash flow was negative $5.86 billion after $44.92 billion of CapEx, long-term debt has climbed to $98.2 billion, and 2026 capital spending is guided at $175 billion to $185 billion.
That spend has to be powered, cooled, and networked by someone, which is why we profiled seven suppliers behind the AI data-center buildout in a free report you can grab here.
If cloud backlog converts, Gemini keeps monetizing, and TPU revenue ramps as promised, a 34x multiple on 2027 earnings is achievable. Returns like this should not be expected every year, but the blueprint for GOOG to reach $500 in 2027 is clearly on the table.
