Reports began around 11 p.m. EDT, with nearly 7,000 incidents recorded at the height of the disruption. About 45% of complaints were tied to Google Search, while 38% involved content loading problems and 12% cited difficulty accessing the site entirely.
Users reported receiving a Server Error message indicating an internal issue and stating that engineers had been notified.
It was not immediately clear what caused the disruption or how long services were affected. The brief outage underscores the reliance of consumers and businesses on Google’s core platforms, which support search, advertising and cloud services globally.
