Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) announced the launch of Executive First D&O Liability+, its enhanced UK D&O offering for large commercial and financial organizations trading their securities on US exchanges.
Key features of the coverage include:
- Broad, simply worded coverage designed for modern exposures
- Expanded Side A protection including asset & liberty proceeding costs and deprivation of asset expenses, reputational costs, mitigation costs and excess protection for independent directors, and
- A reduction in number of exclusions, including a narrowed conduct exclusion
“We believe this enhanced wording, alongside our Preferred Counsel Program, D&O Loss Prevention Services and Securities Claim Inquiry Costs coverage, demonstrates a true partnership approach centered on customer service, product innovation and generating best in class outcomes for US listed companies,” said Thomas Harris, head of Commercial Management Liability UK, in a statement.
Executive First D&O Liability+ is part of BHSI’s suite of executive liability insurance products. BHSI is also able to offer coverage terms for Side A DIC, pension trustee liability, commercial crime and employment practices liability insurance — all designed to provide clear, current and customizable coverage for commercial and financial firms, including those with large, complex risks.
