Chance for storms, strong winds, tornado Thursday in Cincinnati

Colder air ahead for Cincinnati after strong storms Thursday night
UP NORTH. YOU WERE TALKING A LOT UP IN WARREN COUNTY. WAS GETTING HIT PRETTY HARD. YEAH. NORTHERN PARTS OF BUTLER, NORTHERN WARREN COUNTIES. CLINTON COUNTIES THERE, CLOSER TO THE I-70 CORRIDOR. STILL SEEING SOME HEAVY RAIN TONIGHT. AND IN FACT, THAT’S WHERE THE ONLY WARNING OF THE NIGHT WAS UP ACROSS OUR EXTREME NORTHERNMOST COMMUNITIES. SO YOU CAN SEE THE RADAR BEGINNING TO SETTLE DOWN SOME STILL GOING TO TAKE A COUPLE MORE HOURS BEFORE IT’S COMPLETELY QUIET OUT THERE. BUT NOTICE WE DON’T HAVE THE BIG RED BOX. THAT WAS THE TORNADO WATCH THAT WAS IN EFFECT. SO AS WE ANTICIPATED, THE THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER HAS PRETTY MUCH DIMINISHED TO ALMOST ZERO OUT THERE. YOU CAN SEE THERE ARE STILL THIS KIND OF ROPE OF STORMS THROUGH NORTHERN PARTS OF CLINTON INTO WARREN, BUTLER COUNTIES HERE. THIS ACTIVITY IS NOT SEVERE, BUT IT IS BEEN TRAINING OR HAS BEEN TRAINING OVER BY THAT MEANING REPEATEDLY OVER THE SAME AREAS. THUS, THERE’S BEEN SOME PRETTY HEAVY RAINFALL UP HERE AS WELL. SO YOU CAN STILL SEE GOING GOOD FROM HARVEYSBURG TO WAYNESVILLE OVER TOWARDS SPRINGBORO. AS YOU GET BACK TOWARDS THE 75 CORRIDOR AND THEN ALSO BACK TOWARDS TRENTON AND NORTHEASTERN BUTLER COUNTY. LUCKILY, THIS RAIN SHOULD BE LETTING UP HERE SHORTLY, BUT YOU CAN SEE THIS RED POLYGON IS REFLECTIVE OF WHAT WE CALL A FLASH FLOOD WARNING BECAUSE AS YOU CAN SEE, DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATING RAINFALL AMOUNTS, GETTING CLOSE TO TWO INCHES TO ABOUT AN INCH AND A HALF BACK THROUGH NORTHERN PARTS OF BUTLER COUNTY. SO I DON’T FORESEE WIDESPREAD FLOODING, BUT THERE COULD BE SOME LOCALIZED HIGH WATER ISSUES IN THESE COMMUNITIES WHERE IT IS STILL RAINING. OTHERWISE, SOME SCATTERED THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY STILL LEFT OVER BACK IN INDIANA. BUT OUR ATMOSPHERE, WHICH NEVER REALLY GOT SUPER JUICED ANYWAYS FOR SEVERE WEATHER, WHATEVER ENERGY IS LEFT OUT THERE IS QUICKLY BEGINNING TO KIND OF DWINDLE, SO I WON’T RULE OUT THE CHANCE FOR A LITTLE MORE RAIN HERE TONIGHT, OR EVEN A FEW MORE RUMBLES OF THUNDER. BUT ALL IN ALL, WE’RE KIND OF CRUISING TOWARDS A MORE STABLE SETUP SO YOU CAN SLEEP EASY OVERNIGHT. TEMPERATURE WISE. MILD OUT THERE IN THE LOW 60S, YOU ALMOST FORGET THAT IT’S STILL THE MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY. SO TEMPERATURES, THOUGH, WON’T BE THIS WARM WHEN YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING. IN FACT, AFTER ABOUT 3 OR 4:00, THOSE TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO SLIDE PRETTY QUICKLY INTO THE LOW TO MID 40S MID 40S, PROBABLY BY MORNING. BUT WITH GUSTY WINDS IT WILL FEEL COLDER THAN THAT TOMORROW. SO AS WE LOOK AHEAD, WE’VE GOT A WINDY DAY TOMORROW. MUCH COOLER NOT ONLY TOMORROW BUT ALSO SATURDAY, BUT BY SUNDAY IT’S DOWNRIGHT COLD OUTSIDE AGAIN. SO HERE’S A LOOK AT FUTURECAST. YOU CAN SEE ACTIVITY GETTING OUT OF HERE. HERE’S 3 A.M. THERE STILL COULD BE A SCATTERED DOWNPOUR. A RUMBLE OF THUNDER THROUGH ABOUT 3 OR 4 A.M. BY THE MORNING COMMUTE, THOUGH ALL OF THIS IS GONE. THERE COULD BE A FEW CLOUDS AROUND THE FIRST HALF OF THE DAY TOMORROW, BUT THEN IT TURNS CHILLY. FRIDAY NIGHT WE CLOUD UP, OR AT LEAST WITH PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES. SATURDAY LOOKS LIKE A DECENT DAY. WE’LL HAVE SOME CLOUDS. IT WILL BE AGAIN COOLER. IT WILL FEEL MORE LIKE FEBRUARY SHOULD. AND THEN LOOK WHAT HAPPENS LATE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING AS EVEN COLDER AIR SETTLES IN. I THINK WE’VE GOT SOME FLAKES THAT WILL BE FLYING IN HERE DURING THE DAY ON SUNDAY, SO IT’S A KIND OF A TRIP BACKWARDS BACK INTO OLD MAN WINTER. RIGHT NOW WE’RE AT 62 DEGREES. WE’RE GOING TO STAY MILD INTO THE FRONT. COMES THROUGH OFFICIALLY SOMEWHERE PROBABLY 3:04 A.M. SO THERE’S A LOOK AT YOUR TEMPERATURES AGAIN MILD OUT THERE FOR THE MAJORITY OF US AT LEAST MOST OF THE NIGHT. EVENTUALLY WE’LL GET DOWN TO ABOUT 47 BY MORNING AS THE RAIN WRAPS UP LATE. AND THEN TOMORROW, HOW ABOUT 58? THAT’S AT MIDNIGHT. THAT’S IN ABOUT 40 MINUTES FROM NOW. OKAY. IT WILL NEVER BE THAT WARM DURING THE DAY TOMORROW. AND AS WE MENTIONED, THOSE WINDS COULD GUST UPWARDS OF 30 AT TIMES. SO THAT WILL MAKE IT FEEL SIGNIFICANTLY COOLER TO SATURDAY’S. COOL SUNDAY IS COLDER WITH HIGHS ONLY IN THE 30S. WE MAY STRUGGLE TO GET BACK ABOVE FREEZING. SO MIKE, IT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE WINTER IS OVER FOR US JUST YET. AND THEN WE’LL SEE A LITTLE BOUNCE BACK NEXT WEEK WITH MORE SHOWERS. BUT I THINK OVERALL THIS MAY HAVE BEEN KIND OF THE FALL WE WERE ANTICIPATING. AND WE MAY SLIP BACK INTO A LITTLE BIT OF A COLDER PATTERN, BUT NO
