Brazilian actress and child model Millena Brandão has died at age 11, according to multiple reports.

The young star passed away on May 2 at the Grajaú General Hospital in São Paulo, Brazil, after suffering multiple heart attacks.

Her mother, Thays Brandão, revealed that doctors believed she might have had dengue fever before additional tests revealed a brain tumor.

Since April 24, she reportedly experienced headaches, pain in her leg, drowsiness and a loss of appetite. On April 29, she had dinner at her home before fainting in the bathroom.

She was taken to Maria Antonieta Urgent Care Facility at the time. Her COVID-19 test came back negative, but showed that she had “a urinary tract infection” and was placed on medication.

“She arrived with her unconscious in my husband’s arms. Then, she opened her eyes and regained consciousness,” Thays told Brazilian news outlet G1, per Daily Mail.

According to the Daily Mail, Brandão would go on to have 13 cardiac arrests between Wednesday and Thursday. However, the Sun reported that she had 21 cardiac arrests. The exact number is still unclear.

Brandão was known for the soap opera “The Childhood of Romeo and Juliet” and the Netflix series “Sintonia.”

On Friday, Brandão’s family shared the news of her death with her 196,000 Instagram followers.

“The memories we spent together will remain in my memory and I’ll never forget your joy that was contagious to everyone around you,” her mom wrote.

She added, “My girl, I’m already missing you not being here and I know I’ll miss you even more in the days to come. You were the light in our lives and I know that from up there you’ll continue to watch over us and light up our lives.”

“My God, what a pain. How sad. As a mother, my heart bleeds,” one of her followers wrote on social media.

“The doctors still haven’t said what really happened to my daughter and what killed her,” Thays told G1.

Per the Daily Mail, she added, “Her lip turned purple. Then they resuscitated her and intubated her. From that day on, she never woke up again.”

Her mom’s Instagram post concluded, “I’ll love you forever, and you’ll always be in my heart.”
