Dr. Agarwals Institute of Optometry (DAIO), the academic and research wing of Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital Group, in collaboration with Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology (LICET), inaugurated ISVTEC 2025, an international conference on intelligent systems and vision technology in eye care on Friday.
According to a press release, the event is a unique platform bridging healthcare and technology, where engineers and eye care professionals have come together to explore how artificial intelligence, biomedical innovation, and diagnostic technology can transform eye care and reduce avoidable blindness.
Dignitaries released the ISVTEC 2025 Abstract Book, featuring 100 scientific papers contributed by clinicians, researchers, and technologists from India and across the globe.
Around 400 delegates participated, with numerous international attendees joining online. The two-day conference features keynote sessions, research paper presentations, and hands-on workshops.
Vishwak Avanan, director & vice president – development, Artha Systems LLC and Sujatha Mohan, president, Tamil Nadu Ophthalmology Association inaugurated the conference. Other dignitaries included: S. Soundari, chairperson – clinical board, Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital, Karpagam D., Maheswari Srinivasan and Hamza Qureshi of DAIO, Antony Robinson, rector of Loyola College, Justine Yasappan, director of LICET and A. Baskar, principal of LICET.
