Dubai’s Majid Al Futtaim has appointed Engineering Contracting Company (ECC) as the main contractor for Capria East and Capria West, including Maravelle Residences, within the Ghaf Woods development in Dubai.
The Dh2bn ($545m) contract marks a significant step forward for the Ghaf Woods project, which is claimed to be Dubai’s first forest living community.
Majid Al Futtaim Properties CEO Ahmed El Shamy said: “In preparation for the delivery of Capria East and West and Maravelle Residences at Ghaf Woods, we are proud to appoint Engineering Contracting Company on a project of this stature. In collaboration, we will create a community that raises the benchmark for holistic and nature-connected living.”
According to Majid Al Futtaim, Capria East and Capria West will feature a range of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as duplex residences.
The design, inspired by the UAE’s Ghaf tree, incorporates forest landscapes and wellness-oriented amenities together with energy-efficient architecture.
The broader Ghaf Woods development comprises 11 clusters arranged around dense greenery and features amenities intended to promote a connected, active and community-oriented lifestyle.
The scheme will offer a fitness gym, multiple swimming pools, a running path and a dedicated Forest Experience Center.
ECC general director Nidal Hassoun said: “Ghaf Woods is unlike any community of its kind in the region, and the trust placed in Engineering Contracting Company to deliver Capria and Maravelle Residences reflects a shared commitment to quality, innovation and sustainable construction.
“We look forward to applying our expertise to create homes that connect residents with nature without compromising on the contemporary luxury they expect.”
ECC, headquartered in Dubai, has more than five decades of local expertise, delivering numerous developments throughout the UAE and the Gulf region.
In February this year, the company was awarded a Dh1.55bn ($421m) contract to deliver the main construction works for W Residences at Dubai Harbour.
“ECC wins $545m contract for Ghaf Woods’ Capria projects in Dubai” was originally created and published by World Construction Network, a GlobalData owned brand.
