Meanwhile, CLS, the financial market infrastructure company that processes trillions of dollars in Forex transactions daily, added two new directors to its board following its annual shareholder meeting earlier this month.

Brigitte Daurelle joins as an independent director, while Ryo Terazawa represents MUFG Bank, one of CLS’s key stakeholders.

Advanced Markets has a new Chief Risk Officer

Advanced Markets enlisted Marko Jagustin as its new Chief Risk Officer, bringing in an expert with two decades of experience in foreign exchange trading and risk management.

Jagustin’s career spans major roles across the forex industry. He previously served as Chief Trader at GAIN Capital’s Forex.com division and held the Chief Operating Officer position at Finalto.

Most recently, he ran liquidity provision operations at Exness, one of the industry’s larger retail FX brokers.

Former Finalto COO joins GCEX

Also this week, digital prime brokerage GCEX brought Stanislav Bunimovich as Managing Director for Asia-Pacific, tapping the former Finalto executive.

Bunimovich, who spent over 12 years at CFH/Finalto and rose to become Chief Operating Officer and Board Member, will be based in Australia and report directly to GCEX CEO Lars Holst.

The appointment reunited the pair, as Holst co-founded Finalto before launching GCEX in 2018.

SEC establishes a new team

Lastly, in the US, the Securities and Exchange Commission made a sweeping set of leadership appointments Friday, bringing in four new senior officials as Chairman Paul Atkins continues reshaping the agency’s top ranks.

Erik Hotmire returned to the SEC as Chief External Affairs Officer and Director of the Office of Public Affairs. Kurt Hohl took over as Chief Accountant, while Brian Daly will become Director of the Division of Investment Management.

At the same time, Jamie Selway will now lead the Division of Trading and Markets. Selway was most recently a partner at Sophron Advisors and previously served as managing director and head of electronic brokerage at Investment Technology Group.
