2025 return: +38%

Pro: Louis Naveller, Navellier & Associates

Commentary: Louis Navellier, noted Wall Street veteran and CIO of investment firm Navellier & Associates, named Nvidia as his top pick for a stock to gift at Christmas 2025.

“It is a monopoly and a safe hold till at least the end of the decade,” Navellier told Business Insider, echoing a popular sentiment among finance pros. He added, though, that his second choice for a stock to gift this year would be Palantir.

2025 return: +64%

Pro: Ross Gerber, Gerber Kawasaki Wealth & Investment Management

Commentary: Ross Gerber, president and CEO of Gerber Kawasaki Wealth & Investment Management, is known for his bearish views on Tesla stock. But as he recently revealed that Google parent Alphabet is the one stock he would gift this year, primarily due to its vast resources and long list of investments in other pioneering tech firms.

Gerber added that Alphabet isn’t just his firm’s top holding; it’s his top pick among stocks to buy for 2026 in general. He told Business Insider that he thinks its subsidiary gives it a key advantage over Tesla in the self-driving car market.

2025 return: +69%

Pro: Darius Dale, 42 Macro

Commentary: Darius Dale, founder and CEO of market research and intelligence firm 42 Macro, says he wouldn’t gift a stock this year so much as a share in this high-growth exchange-traded fund (ETF) that lets investors track the price of gold bullion.

“If I could gift someone one stock this holiday season, it would be the SPDR Gold MiniShares Trust (expense ratio: 10bps),” he told Business Insider. “As we communicated when we replaced the 30% target allocation to bonds with gold in our core asset allocation in October 2024, gold remains the gift that is likely to keep on giving over the next several years.”

Warby Parker

2025 return: +8%

Pro: Eric M. Clark, Accuvest Global Advisors

Commentary: Clark, CIO at investment advisory firm Accuvest Global Advisors, named popular eyewear company Warby Parker as his top pick among retail stocks for 2026, one that he would gift this year.

“You get paid best in names with strong unit store growth, and Warby & Five Below have the best store growth profiles in retail,” he told Business Insider. “As we spend more time on devices, we pull forward the need to get glasses, so there’s a secular growth theme here.”

Clark also touted Warby Parker’s intelligent eyewear collaboration with Google as a likely catalyst that could push the stock higher.

Legence

2025 return: +59%

Pro: Alexander Wah, Prince Capital

Commentary: This under-the-radar tech stock has enjoyed a strong year. Wah, the founder and CIO of small-mid cap hedge fund Prince Capital, named Legence as his firm’s top pick among the best stocks to gift in 2025.

“We believe the operational excellence, growing sector exposure, and disproportionate amount of access to a key labor force in the specialized plumbing for datacenter division make it a highly compelling opportunity,” he stated.

Pro: Daniel Newman, The Futurum Group

Commentary: Daniel Newman, CEO of research and advisory firm Futurum Group, also named Google as his top pick for a stock to gift this Christmas.

“While I like many names across the AI trade, I believe Google provides a mix of significant upside with deep moats that will be difficult to disrupt, but also doesn’t come with massive downside risk,” he told Business Insider.

Amazon

2025 return: +5%

Pro: Greg Halter, Carnegie Investment Counsel

Commentary: Greg Halter, director of research at the Carnegie Investment Counsel, a wealth management firm with $7 billion in assets under management, thinks tech leader Amazon is the best stock to gift in 2025 due to its highly attractive valuation and growth potential.

“Amazon is now cheaper than Walmart on a valuation basis, with potential for margin growth in retail due to AI and the use of robots in the warehouses,” he said. “Strength should continue in advertising and cloud.”

Oracle

2025 return: +17%

Pro: Marcus Sturdivant Sr., The ABC Squared

Commentary: Marcus Sturdivant Sr., managing member of advisory The ABC Squared, thinks one of the tech sector’s most beaten-down names would be a great stock to gift before it rebounds later on in 2026 and benefits from a shifting tech landscape. He isn’t worried about Oracle’s recent earnings-driven volatility.

“The stock may be dead for a couple quarters but check its price 12 months from now,” he stated. “I think the Mag Seven will shrink from 40ish percent of SP to 20-25% and the market rotates to other adjacent plays in AI.”

Alphabet

2025 return: +64%

Pro: Michael Ashley Schulman CFA, Running Point Capital

Commentary: The CIO of financial services firm Running Point Capital, Schulman shares the popular perspective that the Google parent is the best stock to give as a gift in 2025.

“Part megacorp, part mad scientist, and somehow, still your homepage, Alphabet (GOOGL) is the ultimate holiday stock stuffer,” he told Business Insider. “It’s a sprawling empire of businesses (a trillion-dollar fusion of reliable cash-flow machines) including a global ad giant, a cloud contender, one of the largest streaming services, a globally used smartphone OS, and an AI research leader.”

Equinox Gold Corp.

2025 return: +182%

Pro: Vince Stanzione, First Information

Commentary: Vince Stanzione, a veteran trader and founder of market research and education platform First Information, is also bullish on gold. He named Equinox Gold Corp, a Canadian gold mining stock, as his top choice for a stock to gift.

“The stock is up +190% YTD yet is still very undervalued and even if Gold stays around current levels it will do very well in 2026. It also has a strong management team,” he stated.
