I’m holding Nifty 50 25700-call of January 20 expiry. Kindly suggest whether I should hold or exit – Manjunath, Hubli
Nifty 50 (25,732): The support at 25,700 is holding well for now. Although the index dropped to intraday lows of 25,473 and 25,603 on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, the price action hints at buying between 25,500 and 25,700.
Hence, there is a chance the index could rally from its current level. It is likely to touch 26,000 before the expiry of the January 20 weekly contracts.
So, you can hold the 25700-call and exit the trade at the prevailing option premium when Nifty 50 hits 26,000. That said, you should be wary of the time decay, especially with less than a week to expiry.
