Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG) is starting to run into a different kind of constraint as it scales its AI infrastructure, with reports saying the company is now looking for more liquid cooling equipment to support its growing data center needs.
According to Reuters, Google has been in talks with Chinese suppliers, including Envicool, following a recent visit by its Taiwan based procurement team.
The move reflects how quickly demand for these systems is rising as AI workloads push servers to generate far more heat than traditional air cooling can handle.
Liquid cooling, which uses fluid to regulate temperatures around high performance chips, is becoming essential for running modern AI data centers. As a result, supply is tightening, and even large players like Google are actively securing equipment.
