Markel International has named Tom Hillier as chief underwriting officer and revealed a new structure for its operations.
Hillier, pictured, has been with Markel since December 2023, most recently as managing director – specialty, after launching its specialty practice within its international wholesale division.
He will oversee underwriting strategy and governance across Markel’s international operations. Hillier has been tasked with working with the business’ leaders to drive profitable growth, enhance underwriting discipline, and strengthen broker and MGA partnerships.
