Insurance moves: Kaufman, CRC Group, AM Specialty

Three specialty insurers have announced key leadership changes to support growth and operations in North America and abroad. H.W. Kaufman Group has named Jonathan Tritton managing director of Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions, CRC Group has added three hires to its specialty division, and AM Specialty Insurance Group has promoted Olivia Barder to group COO. 

CRC Group adds three specialists to expanding division 

CRC Group has added three experienced professionals to its specialty division, strengthening expertise and expanding insurance solutions across key markets. 

Ian Teti (pictured left) joins the Seattle office as assistant vice president – casualty broker, bringing expertise in territory development and underwriting across construction, property/inland marine, and workers’ compensation. In Boca Raton, Fla., Kasey Armstrong (pictured center) has been named senior broker, with more than 15 years of experience in professional liability and program development, along with multiple industry designations and multi-state licenses. In Fort Worth, Texas, Dakota Durant (pictured, right) joins as underwriting team leader, bringing six years of commercial risk advising and leadership experience, with a focus on strategic property and casualty underwriting and client solutions. 

AM Specialty promotes Barder to group COO 

AM Specialty Insurance Group has promoted Barder to group COO, where she will oversee global operations and align companywide initiatives with long-term strategy. 

Since joining in 2017, Barder has served as director of operations, leading group-wide review processes, strengthening governance, and helping establish AM Specialty Insurance Company. 

“Her expertise, dedication, and vision have been vital to the company’s success, and her leadership will be critical as we continue to expand our presence in the industry,” said Shevawn Barder, CEO of AM Specialty Insurance Group. 

A licensed attorney, Barder holds an LL.M. in international dispute resolution from Fordham School of Law, as well as an LL.B. in law and an M.A. in international relations from the University of Edinburgh. 

H.W. Kaufman Group names managing director 

H.W. Kaufman Group has announced that Jonathan Tritton will join the company as managing director of Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions, a specialty broking unit. Tritton will start later this month and remain based in London, reporting to H.W. Kaufman Group international CEO Paul Greensmith. 

“Jonathan will join an already strong London leadership team that is actively and aggressively executing Kaufman’s global growth strategy,” said Jodie Kaufman Davis, co-president, H.W. Kaufman Group. “We look forward to Jonathan playing a major role in attracting top talent, expanding our products and further deploying the company’s advanced digital solutions.” 

Tritton previously served as partner and executive vice president for Acrisure London Wholesale, where he was a founding leader who established Acrisure’s London wholesale operation in 2018. Before Acrisure, he spent nearly a decade at Marsh in various senior leadership roles.
