one of the interesting things is when, you know, you look at OpenAI, they originally talked about uh potentially having debt as or having a a a capital cap cap X as high as 1.3 trillion, I think it was, maybe 1.4. They since brought that number down significantly uh into the hundreds of billions. They’re clearly doing some pairing back. Um, I I do find it interesting uh that if you look at the the release where they talked about this funding round, they were like, yeah, we got big funding from Amazon and Softbank and Nvia.

Oh yeah, Microsoft was there too, I guess. That relationship doesn’t seem uh to be as uh as good as maybe it once was, but they still, you know, mention it and Microsoft still gets access to their tools. Um but yeah, I mean, I I I do, you know, have to wonder, is this kind of too big for what they’re they’re they’re eventually asking? Is is a $1 trillion IPO just completely bonkers?

Um it still is one of the the the most used, if if not it is the most used uh AI app out there. Um, you know, they do have huge competition from Google uh with Gemini as well as uh Anthropic and and that’s more on the enterprise side than in the consumer side. Uh but OpenAI is pushing deeper into the enterprise um and they are trying to take on uh Anthropic and Claude Code with their own uh Codex offering. So, you know, there is this kind of they’re still in the lead position, they’re still kind of the go-to name when it comes to AI.

If you talk to anybody and say AI, they’ll be like, oh yeah, Chat GPT or, you know, it’s it’s become synonymous with it almost like, you know, Google is to to search. Um and so that could benefit them. I think the the big thing though is how do you get these people then to sign up?

And we’ve talked about, you know, okay, does the consumer side end up working out to a degree that search has worked out for Google uh and their own AI efforts are are seemingly paying off uh with with ads. You know, the the the big thing here is going to be has OpenAI implement ads? How does that look? Does that alienate people? Does it not? It is kind of uh uh obviously a massive number.

If it’s a $1 trillion IPO, I mean, man, I just yeah, I mean it would just blow my mind. I I don’t know how people would kind of reconcile that.
