Auburn basketball enters its final handful of games on a five-game losing streak, and it is desperately in need of a win. The remaining schedule is Kentucky, at Oklahoma, Ole Miss, LSU, and at Alabama. Auburn’s 91-85 loss to Mississippi State on Wednesday was a major setback for a team that is still hopeful to participate in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Despite the losing streak, KenPom has the Tigers winning four of their final five games. They are projecting the Tigers to win four in a row before losing to Alabama in the regular season finale. Auburn may also need a positive showing in the SEC Tournament as well.

The first step in saving the season will be getting a home victory against Kentucky. The Wildcats were upset on Tuesday night when they lost to Georgia 86-78. KenPom is projecting Auburn to protect their home court at Neville Arena with an 81-78 victory. Next up will be a road trip to Oklahoma, where KenPom sees a narrower margin. They only give Auburn a 52% chance of victory with a projected 82-81 victory. The next two games against Ole Miss and LSU seem more favorable. The Tigers won 78-66 on the road.
In the final game of the season at Alabama, Auburn will look to win in Tuscaloosa for a second consecutive season. Alabama won the first matchup between the two rivals 96-92 and Auburn will look to even the score. KenPom is giving Auburn a 25% chance of victory with a projected loss with the score of 93-85. KenPom has Auburn projected to end the season with a 17-14 overall record and an 8-10 record in the SEC.
