After an eventful week of softball, the 2025 Women’s College World Series Championship has officially arrived. We’ve compiled everything you need to know about the games, including where to watch the WCWS and a schedule for the series.

The Oklahoma Sooners made history at last year’s Women’s College World Series when they won their fourth consecutive championship — a first in WCWS history. However, it looks like the end of an era for the Sooners, who fell to Texas Tech in the semifinals this year. Now, Texas Tech will take on Texas in an one-of-a-kind Lone Star State clash. The best-of-three series will give one of the teams its first-ever WCWS title.

If you don’t want to read any further: ESPN Plus is the absolute cheapest way to live stream the Women’s College World Series in the US. The sports streaming app is more than 50% off for a limited time. Below, we’ll include details on the current ESPN Plus deal and other ways to stream the series, including services with free trials.

Where to watch WCWS: quick links

    • US: ESPN

    • Access subscriptions anywhere: ExpressVPN (30-day money-back guarantee)
    • When: June 4—5/6, 2025

      • Game 1: Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET
      • Game 2: Thursday at 8 p.m. ET
      • Game 3: Friday at 8 p.m. ET (if necessary)

What channel is the WCWS on?

While the rest of the tournament was spread across several networks, all games in the Women’s College World Series will air on ESPN, including the potential Game 3. Broadcast coverage will begin at 8 p.m. ET for each game.

Where to watch the WCWS in the US

There are several ways to live stream the Women’s College World Series in the US. ESPN Plus is the cheapest way to do so, and it’s even cheaper than usual thanks to a limited-time deal. The streaming service typically costs $12/month, but you can get your first three months for just $5/month right now. That’s more than 50% in savings and the best ESPN Plus deal we’ve seen so far this year. In addition to the WCWS, ESPN Plus offers select coverage across other college sports, WNBA games, NHL games, and all UFC events.

    ESPN+ (Monthly Plan)

ESPN Plus is designed for sports, giving subscribers access to live MLB, NHL, NFL, soccer, golf, and UFC fights. The streamer is offering a rare, limited-time offer that knocks over 50% off your first three months of service.

ESPN Plus will only show select ESPN content like the WCWS. If you’re looking for a way to live stream the ESPN network 24/7, a live TV streaming service will be your best option. Sling TV, DirecTV, and Fubo are three of our favorites and some of the best live TV streaming services we’ve personally tested.

Sling TV is the cheapest of the bunch. You’ll need to sign up for the Sling Orange base plan, which carries ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3, in addition to 31 other popular live channels. The service costs $46/month, but new users can get 50% off their first month of service.

    Sling Orange

You can access 35 live channels with Sling Orange, including ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3. Right now, you can get 50% off your first month before subscriptions go back to $46 a month, which you can cancel any time.

DirecTV and Fubo are two other popular options with free trials. DirecTV’s MySports pack carries ESPN and around 25 other sports channels for $70/month. Subscribers also gain access to ESPN Plus, and new users get a five-day free trial. Fubo Pro carries ESPN and 150+ other live sports channels for $85/month. New customers can get $20 off their first month of service after a one-week free trial.

DirecTV’s MySports pack carries popular sports channels, from mainstays like ESPN to niche offerings like the ACC Network.

    Fubo logo

    Fubo Pro

Fubo is the streaming service for sports fans. Its huge library of channels includes regional and international sports leagues, setting it apart from the competition. You can also tack on additional programming to your plan, but it’ll cost you extra.

How to watch the WCWS from anywhere

If you’re traveling away from home, you can still keep up with your usual viewing methods with the help of a VPN (virtual private network). VPNs are popular cybersecurity tools that enable you to change your device’s virtual location so that you can keep up with your usual websites and apps from anywhere in the world. They’re also instant ways to improve online privacy and security. Since the services we’ve recommended require US payment methods, this option will be best for Americans who are simply traveling abroad at the moment.

Time and time again, ExpressVPN is our top recommendation. It’s a fast and user-friendly app with a selection of security features, which you can read about in our ExpressVPN review. Plus, it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee if you find that it’s not what you’re looking for.

    ExpressVPN Plan

With its consistent performance, reliable security, and expansive global streaming features, ExpressVPN is the best VPN out there, excelling in every spec and offering many advanced features that make it exceptional. Better yet, you can save more than 60% right now and get up to four months free.

Use a VPN to watch these events & shows free:

All the items below have a free streaming option that can be unlocked from anywhere with a VPN. Set it to the corresponding country, and you’re all set.

Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.
