Mark Vientos Heads to the Bench

New York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos is out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. This marks the third time that Vientos has sat out over the last seven games. Vientos has been struggling at the plate lately, so maybe some extra rest will help him get back on track. In his absence, Jared Young will serve as the designated hitter while Brett Baty covers third base versus right-hander Dustin May on Monday. Vientos remains worth rostering in most fantasy leagues, but that could change if he continues to lose playing time.
