Evan Harp: Tell me about your practice.
Victor Orozco: Women in leadership, the LGBTQ+ community, and sustainably minded investors are often drawn to the work we do at Bair Financial Planning. Through our partnership with The Wealth Consulting Group over the past decade, we provide comprehensive financial planning that coordinates tax, estate, and investment strategies for our clients. Marci and I have served as the lead planners for more than 20 years.
The Wealth Consulting Group and How They Provide Guidance
Harp: What is your investment philosophy?
Orozco: Guidance by committee. Leveraging the investment strategy committee of the Wealth Consulting Group allows our practice and its clients to have a range of thoughtful insights which lead to our core + satellite approach to portfolio design. I also believe there is a place to utilize a sustainability lens as part of the screening process. It is critical that the solutions match the messaging and there is a deep understanding of those approaches.
Harp: What’s the biggest challenge you had to overcome, and how did you do it?
Orozco: Imposter syndrome. Still a work in progress but having a strong community of fellow advisors goes a long way.

Harp: What are you looking forward to about the Exchange conference?
Orozco: Running into colleagues I have not seen in a long time and getting my 1st Exchange conference under my belt to see what it’s all about.
Harp: Who is another financial advisor that inspires you?
Orozco: Vanessa N. Martinez, CEO of Expressive Wealth, is an advisor who inspires me. In addition to building a great firm, she is making a meaningful impact in the Latin advisor community by co-founding SER alongside Ana Trujillo Limon. Their SER Latin@ Advisor Summit has quickly become a must-attend event for advisors and supporters of this growing community.
