Movers & Shakers: Stocks That Will see Action This Week

IFCI (₹60.69)
Resumes the uptrend
The stock of IFCI surged nearly 24 per cent last week. With this, the chart shows that it has formed a higher low. Also, the momentum is strong, and the scrip has managed to close slightly above ₹60-mark. These are positive indications. Going ahead, we might see some softening in price, probably to ₹54. But then, the uptrend is likely to resume, which can potentially take the stock to ₹100 over the medium term.
Therefore, one can consider buying the stock at ₹60 and on a dip to ₹54. Place initial stop-loss at ₹45. When the stock rallies to ₹80, exit half of the longs. For the remaining positions, revise the stop-loss to ₹70. On a rally to ₹90, raise the stop-loss to ₹82. Exit at ₹100.
LTIMindtree (₹6,307.75)
Bulls regain traction
The rally that began in October last year faced a barrier at ₹6,320 in early December. Consequently, the stock of LTIMindtree saw some moderation in price. But the decline was arrested by the support band of ₹5,930-5,980, where a trendline coincides. A 4.6 per cent rally on Friday is an indication that the bulls are regaining traction and the outlook is positive.
We expect the stock to appreciate to ₹8,000 over the coming weeks. Buy at ₹6,307 and accumulate at ₹6,000. Place initial stop-loss at ₹5,850. When the price touches ₹7,200, revise the stop-loss to ₹6,900. Tighten the stop-loss further to ₹7,450 when the stock rises to ₹7,700. Liquidate the longs at ₹8,000.
RBL Bank (₹325.10)
Set to breakout soon
The stock of RBL Bank has been in a steady uptrend since March last year. It broke out of a key barrier at ₹290 in October and extended the rally. On facing resistance at ₹330 the stock has not been able to move beyond it in the last three months. But it sustained above the important level of ₹290.
That said, the price action shows that the stock is gaining steam and is likely to get past ₹330 soon. The uptrend can take the price to ₹500. Participants can buy now at ₹325 and add longs if the price dips to ₹300. Keep initial stop-loss at ₹285. When the stock goes up to ₹425, trail the stop-loss to ₹390. Tighten the stop-loss to ₹450 when the price hits ₹475. Book profits at ₹500.
