Nifty Bank Prediction Today – February 12, 2026: Nifty Bank futures: Retains the bullish bias, hold on to the longs

Nifty Bank index began today’s session with a slight gap-up at 60,786 versus yesterday’s close of 60,745. It is now hovering around 60,800, up 0.1 per cent.
The advance-decline ratio stands at 3-11, showing a bearish bias. State Bank of India (up 1.4 per cent) is the top gainer followed by ICICI Bank and IndusInd Bank, up 1.2 per cent and 0.3 per cent respectively.
On the other hand, IDFC First Bank (down 1.2 per cent) is the top loser followed by Yes Bank (down 1.1 per cent).
Nifty PSU Bank, up about 0.2 per cent, is one of the few sectors that are in the green today so far. Whereas Nifty Private Bank is trading flat. So, broadly, the public sector banks are outperforming their private peers.
Nifty Bank futures
The February expiry Nifty Bank futures opened today’s session higher at 60,850 versus yesterday’s close of 60,809. It is now trading at 60,840.
The contract hit a seven-day high of 60,901 in the first hour of today’s trade and has seen some moderation. Nevertheless, the contract stays above key support levels at 60,760 and 60,550. Only a breach of the latter can turn the intraday outlook weak.
So, a rally, either from the current level of 60,840 or after a dip to 60,550, can take Nifty Bank futures to 61,500 and 62,000 in the near-term. As mentioned yesterday, a clear breach of the hurdle at 60,900 can trigger the next uptick.
That said, in case Nifty Bank futures breaks below 60,550, it can extend the decline to the support band of 60,100-60,000. Nevertheless, the broader trend is bullish and so, the probability of a rally is higher.
Trade strategy
Retain the long position on Nifty Bank futures initiated at an average level of 60,715. Add longs if the contract slips to 60,580. Maintain stop-loss at 60,380.
When the contract rises to 60,910, raise the stop-loss to 60,840. Revise the stop-loss higher to 61,050 and 61,220 when Nifty Bank futures rallies to 61,180 and 61,340 respectively. Book profits at 61,460.
Note that the above is a positional trade with a time frame of one to two weeks.
