The advance/decline ratio of Nifty 50 stands at 19/31, showing a bearish bias. Tata Steel (up 2.7 per cent) is the top gainer followed by Eternal (up 1.2 per cent). On the other hand, Adani Ports (down 1.6 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation (down 1 per cent) are the top losers.
Among the sectors, barring Nifty Metal (up 1.4 per cent) and Nifty Oil & Gas (up 0.2 per cent), all others are in the red. Nifty Realty (down 0.4 per cent) is the top loser followed by Nifty Healthcare (down 0.35 per cent).

Nifty 50 futures
The December expiry Nifty futures opened today’s session at 26,080 versus Friday’s close of 26,060. It is currently trading at 26,020, down nearly 0.15 per cent.
The chart shows a bearish bias so far today. Also, other indications like the breadth of the underlying Nifty 50 index also support a bearish inclination.
Therefore, Nifty futures can drop to 25,900 today. Support below 25,900 is at 25,800. A decline below this level is unlikely.
On the other hand, if the contract recovers from the current level, it can find resistance at 26,100. Only a clear breakout of this can turn the intraday outlook positive.
Overall, we expect Nifty futures to drop to 25,900 from the current level of 26,020 and then see a recovery.
