Nifty 50 has begun the week on a positive note. The index has recovered well in the early trades after having fallen sharply in the second half last week. Nifty is currently trading at 25,957, up 0.63 per cent. The advances/declines ratio is at 38:12. This is positive. If the trend sustains, Nifty can rise more.
Nifty 50 Outlook
Nifty will now have good supports at 25,900-25,880 and then at 25,830. There are good chances to see the downside limited to 25,900 itself as fresh buyers can come into the market. The outlook is bullish. Nifty can rise to 26,100 in the coming sessions. The upside is open to test 26,200-26,300 this week.
Nifty has to decline below 25,830 in order to turn the near-term picture negative. Only then it will come under pressure for a fall to 25,700 and lower. But that looks less likely.
Nifty 50 Futures
The Nifty 50 October Futures (26,045) is up 0.9 per cent. Strong support for the day will be at 25,930. Below that, 25,830 is the next important support. The chances are high for the contract to sustain above 25,930 itself. A rise to 26,200 is likely now.
From a slightly big picture, the Nifty 50 Futures contract has good potential to reach 26,450-26,500 this week.
This bullish view will go wrong only if the contract declines below 25,830. If that happens, we can see a fall to 25,700. But that looks less likely.
Trade Strategy
Traders can go long now at 26,045. Accumulate on dips at 25,970. Keep the stop-loss at 25,840. Trail the stop-loss up to 26,090 as soon as the contract goes up to 26,140. Revise the stop-loss up to 26,180 and 26,320 when the contract touches 26,260 and 26,380 respectively. Exit the long positions at 26,450.
Please note that this trade can be retained for the entire week. The trade can be rolled over to the November contract once the October contract expires tomorrow.
