Reflection AI, a startup backed by Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), is reportedly in talks to raise new funding that could value the company at more than $20 billion, a sharp jump from where it stood just months ago.
According to reports, the New York based firm is aiming to raise at least $2 billion in fresh capital. That would more than double the $8 billion valuation it secured in October after raising $2 billion, and mark another leap from the $545 million valuation it carried a year before that. The speed of that climb shows how aggressively investors are backing open AI development.
Founded by former Google DeepMind researchers, Reflection builds open models that developers can freely download and modify. The company has also been hiring talent with experience on systems like OpenAI’s GPT 5 and Google’s Gemini, signaling its ambition to compete at the highest level.
