Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) will be missing a high-profile presence at next week’s India AI Impact Summit. CEO Jensen Huang has pulled out of the event, which runs from Feb. 16 to Feb. 20 in New Delhi.
The company said Huang is unable to travel due to unforeseen circumstances, but stressed that Nvidia remains deeply committed to both the summit and India’s fast-expanding AI ecosystem. Huang had been scheduled to speak to the media on Feb. 17 and was widely seen as one of the biggest draws of the gathering, given Nvidia’s outsized role in powering the global AI boom.
The event will still feature major names, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG) CEO Sundar Pichai and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the summit.
