Leesa is a mattress brand specializing in high-quality foam and hybrid beds that balance comfort, motion isolation, and temperature regulation at a mid-range price point. The direct-to-consumer brand blends thoughtful design with consumer-focused safety and sustainability practices and Greenguard Gold- and CertiPUR-US-certified foams paired with a fiberglass- and chemical-free fire barrier.
We’ve conducted long-term testing on Leesa mattresses in our own homes, with the brand’s Sapira Hybrid model once again earning the top spot in our best mattress buying guide in February 2026. Its versatile medium firmness adapts well to most sleep positions, making it a reliable choice for shoppers who aren’t sure what they prefer.
With a 120-night sleep trial period, limited lifetime warranty, and free return pickups in most states, Leesa is a strong choice for shoppers who want reliable performance without paying luxury-brand prices. Below, we share our favorite Leesa mattresses to help you decide which one is right for you.
Leesa mattresses, compared
Delivery and set up
Leesa mattresses ship free via FedEx to all 50 states and arrive within three to seven days. Leesa also ships to Canada, but a customs tax and shipping fee do apply. The mattresses come compressed in a box for easier handling. If you don’t want to set up the mattress yourself, Leesa offers in-home setup (starting at $179) through their delivery partner Ryder, who will also haul away your old mattress and packaging. They will contact you to schedule a convenient delivery window, and the estimated delivery time is 7 to 14 days.
Trial and warranty policies
Leesa has competitive trial and warranty policies, so you get peace of mind with your new mattress. Every mattress comes with a 100-night trial. If you sleep on the mattress for at least 30 nights and decide it’s not for you, you can return it up to 100 nights from the purchase date. Leesa will arrange the mattress pickup. There’s no return fee for purchasers in the continental United States, but you’ll pay a $100 fee if you live in Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada. To be returned, the mattress must still be in good condition.
Leesa upgraded its warranty policies in early 2025. A limited lifetime warranty covers all mattresses bought after February 1st, 2025. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and physical flaws in your mattress after regular use. For a warranty to be valid, Leesa requires the use of a bed frame, which is standard when compared to other mattress warranty policies. Unlike other companies, though, Leesa mattresses must be used on a base with slats less than 5.5 inches apart. If your base has slats wider than 5.5 inches, your warranty is void.
The first 10 years of the warranty offer non-prorated coverage, meaning that Leesa will replace or repair your mattress at no cost for manufacturing defects or flaws. After the 10-year mark, you move into prorated coverage. You’ll pay a percentage of the current retail price to have your mattress replaced. The rate depends on how long you’ve owned the mattress, but you can expect to pay between 50% and 75% of the MSRP to have it replaced.

The Leesa Sapira Hybrid mattress is the best mattress we’ve tested. It balances firm support with cloud-like softness and minimal motion transfer.
It combines several types of foam with spring coils for comfort and breathability. Setup takes about 15 minutes, but the mattress needs a few hours to expand fully, so be sure to time it correctly if you want to take an afternoon nap.

Leesa’s “Chill” versions of its Studio, Oasis, Sapira, and Legend mattresses. feature a cooling cover designed to “help maintain the ideal skin temperature of 88 degrees.” We tend to take marketing jargon with a big grain of salt, so we were surprised when, after seven tests, the Leesa Sapira Chill Hybrid Mattress averaged 87.3 degrees Fahrenheit right after our review got up from it in the morning. Impressive.

Unlike the medium-firm Sapira Hybrid, the Sapira Chill Hybrid is available in three firmness options: plush, medium-firm, and firm. Our reviewer tested the plush, ideal for his side sleeping, but he sank in too much. While the edge support and motion isolation were sound, it wasn’t at the level of the Sapira Hybrid. Still, this is an excellent option if you sleep hot and want other firmness options beyond medium-firm. Otherwise, stick with the Sapira Hybrid.

The Leesa Original Mattress did an outstanding job supporting our reviewer’s shoulders and hips. Its medium-firm feel is ideal for side sleepers, but may be too plush for stomach and back sleepers. We especially liked the foam’s responsiveness to movement, providing pressure relief as we shifted between positions throughout the night.

The mattress has three layers — a breathable top layer, a memory foam middle that contours around your body, and a supportive bottom layer. These add up to a 10-inch mattress that offers relief and support for side sleepers.

Leesa Oasis Chill Hybrid

Like the Leesa Sapira Chill, the Leesa Oasis Chill Hybrid features a cool cover to keep even the hottest sleepers comfortable. It has one less layer than the Leesa Sapira Chill and will cost you about $585 less.
The Oasis Chill Hybrid boasts a “huggable feel,” specifically designed to cradle pressure points for a more comfortable sleep. It comes in two firmnesses: Plush and cushion-firm. We recommend cushion-firm for all sleep types, but plush is definitely best for side sleepers only. Our tester found that, despite the name, the cushion-firm was still incredibly soft. Her spine also wasn’t aligned while sleeping on this mattress, so it might not be a good pick for people with back pain.

The Oasis Chill excelled in our heat dissipation tests. It measured 70 degrees before bed, 80 degrees immediately after waking, and 70 degrees after 2 minutes. These are some of the best cooling numbers we’ve seen, with low temperatures across all tests and excellent 10-degree heat dissipation after 2 minutes.
If you’re looking for a cooling mattress that’s a little cheaper than the Sapira Chill, go for the Oasis Chill. Just keep in mind that it has a soft feel that isn’t suited for people with back pain.

Leesa Legend
Leesa Legend Mattress (Queen)
This luxury hybrid mattress has two layers of springs: pocket springs for edge-to-edge support and micro coils for targeted support around the hips and shoulders. The topmost layer of foam offers medium-firm comfort and bounce. Take $25 off when you use promo code INSIDER25.
The Legend Hybrid is Leesa’s most premium mattress. Its design features two layers of pocket springs and four layers of foam. From top to bottom, the layers include a breathable comfort foam, memory foam for pressure relief, a zoned support layer of foam and micro-springs, a supportive transitional foam layer, and a base of larger pocket springs for durability and motion isolation.
In our tests, the motion isolation was average, and the edge support needed improvement, suggesting this may not be the ideal mattress for couples. However, it did dissipate heat well. The Leesa Legend is softer, so stomach and back sleepers may find it unsupportive. Yet, side sleepers are sure to love it.

Business Insider Reviews’ sleep reporter James Brains said he slept great during his 22 nights of testing the Leesa Legend. He felt refreshed and didn’t experience his usual aches and pains. Specifically, he noted the mattress cradled his body as he slept on his side. It breathed well, keeping him from overheating. It’s an excellent choice for hot sleepers.

Leesa Studio
Leesa Studio Mattress (Queen)
The Leesa Studio has three foam layers: a top layer of breathable memory foam, a middle layer of pressure-relieving foam, and a core layer for support and durability. It’s solid for side sleepers at an attractive price.
If you’re looking for the best balance of value, comfort, and support, Leesa’s Studio mattress might be your best option. The three layers of foam provided solid motion isolation and pressure relief, especially for our side-sleeping tester.
The Studio is a medium-firm mattress, but the edge support left much to be desired — the foam sagged significantly. Solo sleepers might not mind, since they’re not sharing a bed, but couples might want to get a larger bed, like a King, to avoid falling out of bed at night.

The mattress is significantly less expensive than other Leesa mattresses, and our tester didn’t notice any compromise in support or comfort. The Studio would be an excellent mattress for anyone on a budget, moving into their first apartment, or furnishing a guest room.
