Safety and Integrity Highlights from 2025
As 2025 draws to a close, Meta is proud to reflect on a year of meaningful progress in responsible media, driven by our commitment to four key pillars: universal value, security and data privacy, safety and expression, and sustainability. This year, we shared that Meta’s personalized advertising technologies contributed to nearly $550 billion in economic activity and 3.4 million jobs in the US, and €213 billion in economic activity and 1.44 million jobs across the EU.
We strengthened security by reducing global ad scam reports by more than 50% and banning over 6.8 million WhatsApp accounts linked to scam centers, while investing over $8 billion in privacy initiatives since 2019. Our platforms achieved over 90% enforcement precision on Facebook and 87% on Instagram, expanded protections for teen accounts, and introduced new brand safety tools for advertisers. As we continue advancing toward net zero emissions and water positivity by 2030, Meta’s steadfast commitment to media responsibility ensures we deliver positive impact for brands, communities, and society at large.
To recap the progress Meta has made in these areas in 2025, we’re excited to share our fourth-annual end-of-year highlights video featuring Samantha Stetson, Vice President of Client Council and Industry Trade Relations at Meta.
