Stock to buy today: HCL Technologies (₹1,698.90)

The stock of HCL Technologies has been appreciating steadily since October last year. The uptrend was triggered by the support at ₹1,380.

But towards the end of December, there was some moderation in price. The scrip fell from about ₹1,700. But it found support at ₹1,600 where it met the 50-day moving average and rebounded.

The broader uptrend is intact, and the stock has now resumed the rally after facing a corrective decline. This time we expect it to break out of ₹1,700 and set off for a rally to ₹2,000.

So, participants can buy now at ₹1,698 and accumulate if the price dips to ₹1,630. Place stop-loss at ₹1,570. When the stock rises to ₹1,850 and ₹1,950, alter the stop-loss to ₹1,750 and ₹1,880 respectively. Exit at ₹2,000.
