Stockton rapper EBK Jaaybo arrested in Arkansas on multiple charges

Stockton-based rapper EBK Jaaybo was arrested by the Arkansas State Police on multiple charges on Sunday.EBK Jaaybo, whose real name is Jaymani Gorman, was booked into the Pope County Detention Center on two possession of a controlled substance charges, theft by receiving, and criminal use of a prohibited weapon.The Stockton-based rapper rose to fame for his 2024 single “Boogieman,” which made Billboard’s U.S. Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles list. The song garnered over 116 million streams on Spotify to date.On May 15, the 21-year-old recording artist was announced as an act for YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s stadium tour. The rapper also referred to as “Youngboy” was recently released from federal prison and is now preparing to headline his first major tour.The 27-city U.S. tour is scheduled to hit Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Sept. 13, and in Oakland on Sept. 12.KCRA 3 has reached out to the Pope County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police for more details on the arrest, but has not heard back yet.
