This Boca office campus is closer to becoming modern micro-city

Activity is increasing at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, breathing additional life into the former IBM campus as more tenants move into the 1.7 million-square-foot office park.

Three new tenants and two tenant renewals recently were secured at BRiC, according to CP Group, the commercial real estate and management firm behind the redevelopment. This adds approximately 266,000 square feet of leasing activity to the sprawling campus at 5000 T-Rex Ave.

The new and renewed tenants are:

— Allstar Recruiting Locums LLC, a health care staffing firm.

— Cinch Home Services, a home warranty provider.

— EchoTwin AI, a tech company.

— Modernizing Medicine, a health care technology company.

— Everglades University.

— Newtek, a publicly traded financial services company.

“Working at BRiC feels like being on a major tech campus — the atmosphere has the same energy and ambition as what you’d find at Facebook, Apple or Google,” Chris Carson, the EchoTwin AI founder and global CEO, said in a statement. “It is a place where big ideas and bold execution meet.”

CP Group is another step closer to the completion of the $100 million capital improvement program of the site, according to the statement. Over the years, CP Group has added a wellness center, fitness studios, coffee shops, an autonomous grab-and-go store, event space and plenty of art to decorate the inside and out.

People have hosted weddings, church communities have gathered there and the Boca Farmers Market, which has more than 75 vendors, announced on social media that the market will begin meeting at BRiC starting this Sunday.

The goal has long been to create a micro-city within Boca Raton, with future phases of BRiC including residences and restaurants — a place where people’s needs can be met without having to travel far.

“BRiC’s transformation into a vibrant, amenity-rich campus reflects our long-term commitment to creating spaces where businesses and employees can thrive,” Michael Perrette, CP Group’s asset and general manager, said in the statement.
