Chewy hasn’t listed an official holiday shipping deadline on its website. However, we do know that the retailer offers only one standard flat-rate shipping speed, primarily via FedEx. Chewy advertises that its shipping typically takes one to three days, which means you could place your order as late as December 21 and still receive it by Christmas Eve.
When we reached out to Chewy support, they confirmed that there wasn’t an exact deadline and reiterated the typical one to three-day shipping time. That said, we recommend aiming to check out before the weekend on December 19 to be safe and avoid delays. It’s also worth noting that Chewy pharmacy orders tend to take a little longer to ship (the site says three to five days) to account for Vet approval, so you’ll want to give yourself some extra time if there are prescription items in your cart.
Chewy offers free shipping on all orders over $35, which is an easy spending minimum to hit with just one or two items. If the total price of your order ends up being less, you’ll have to pay a $5 flat shipping fee.
