My love of the Hulken is well documented. I basically wrote a love letter about how this thing has transformed city schlepping for me.
My biggest hangup about the Hulken is that it’s essentially $125 for a big Ikea bag on wheels. I think it’s worth the full price, but if you’re on the fence, maybe this 22% off Prime Day deal will sway you. I pretty much never see the Hulken on sale, and I doubt it will be again until Black Friday.
If you need more convincing, I outline my favorite features in my Hulken review and summarize them below. You can check out our Amazon Prime Day deals hub for more great steals from the sale and our roundup of Prime Day deals for New Yorkers for other items that make city living a little easier.
What I love about the Hulken
It fits a ton. The first time I used my Hulken, I loaded it with a microwave, a cast iron braiser, and a set of sheets, and I still had room to spare. As someone who is constantly schlepping testing products to and from the office, the Hulken is a lifesaver.
It folds flat for easy storage. This thing is huge when it’s fully expanded, but I can get it down to the size of an oversize envelope when not in use. I store it without any issue in the small gap between my fridge and the wall. Other granny carts I’ve used require way more storage space.
It rolls very smoothly, and offers multiple ways to carry. There are three handles total, which allow you to either pull the Hulken or wheel it alongside you. I’m always impressed how it navigates uneven city streets and I love that the handles are generous enough that, at 5’11”, I don’t have to slouch to hold them comfortably.
It makes me feel like a cool city girl. The Hulken is very industrial chic and, when I’m carrying it around the city, people always stop and ask me about it. It makes me feel like I could be a cool fashion assistant hauling designs off to a photoshoot. Very main character energy. Very New York.
