Amwins Appoints Yuko and Shapiro to Lead New Hospitality Practice

Amwins, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, named Michelle Yuko and Joey Shapiro as leaders of its new hospitality practice, a dedicated industry-focused group designed to support retail partners. While continuing to manage their books of business, Yuko and Shapiro will serve as national practice leaders guiding key business initiatives and working closely with Amwins’ corporate departments and hospitality specialists across the firm.

Yuko, executive vice president and property broker based in Satellite Beach, Florida, has nearly 20 years of industry experience. She has spent 14 of those years with Amwins, developing deep expertise in hospitality property risks and market dynamics.
Shapiro, executive vice president and casualty broker based in Chicago, Illinois, joined Amwins in 2018 and has focused primarily on providing tailored, custom risk solutions for clients in the hospitality sector.
Pinion Insurance Names Selvig US CUO

Pinion Insurance, a newly formed technology-enabled specialty insurer headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, appointed Kyle Selvig as U.S. chief underwriting officer.
Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Selvig joins after almost 10 years at Fortegra, where he most recently served as vice president, commercial underwriting. He has 25 years of experience in the P&C industry, including underwriting leadership roles at Citizens Property Insurance, where he spent almost eight years.
In this commercial role, Selvig will build Pinion’s US Managing General Agent (MGA) network. Subject to regulatory approval, Pinion expects the first U.S. business to bind in Q2 2026.
