So, basically, this is, I mean, this was this massive data center that Elon Musk was kind of bragging about how fast it went up. Uh, and it has hundreds of thousands, I think uh in the uh announcement at XA, I said 220,000 GPUs. I think it’s uh 300 megawatts of power that it consumes.

That’s exactly what Anthropic is getting out of this. Now, what does that mean for XAI or now SpaceX AI and not really sure they’re going to dissolve XAI. Uh, it it could mean a few things. First, Elon Musk says that they’re they moved all training over to their new Colossus 2 facility. And so that’s his reasoning for renting this out.

It also means that they get some cash presumably. You would imagine that this is going to be several billion dollars that will go towards SpaceX now. Anthropic in uh, in the meantime, they get their hands on some much needed computer computing capacity.

They are stretched like everyone else in this space. Uh, Open AI is desperate for uh computing capacity, Microsoft, uh Google, Amazon, all these companies are saying, how do we get this? How do we get this faster?

And so this is kind of a win-win where, you know, seemingly Elon Musk saying, look, we don’t really need that anymore for our needs. Why don’t you hook us up with some cash and you can use it. It it also also was kind of weird though because they set this up very quickly. It was such a huge deal for XAI and now they’re kind of not even using it anymore.
