Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) looks ready to deepen its push into India as the company reportedly explores new investments tied to AI infrastructure, server manufacturing and even drones.
The update came from Indian technology minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who said Google is evaluating opportunities across several parts of the country’s growing AI and hardware ecosystem. While the company has not officially confirmed any new commitments yet, the direction is fairly clear: India is becoming a much bigger piece of Google’s long term AI strategy.
What makes this notable is that Google’s ambitions in India now appear to stretch far beyond software and cloud services. The company is increasingly looking at the physical side of the AI boom too, including data centers, servers and potentially advanced manufacturing tied to drones and AI infrastructure.
