Nvidia (NVDA, Financials) and Alphabet’s Google are among seven technology companies that signed agreements with the Pentagon to deploy artificial intelligence tools in classified settings.
The agreements also include OpenAI, SpaceX, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and Reflection AI. The companies will support AI use across classified defense networks, including high-security environments known as Impact Level 6 and Impact Level 7.
The move expands the Pentagon’s push to use advanced AI for warfighting, intelligence and enterprise operations. Its GenAI.mil platform has already been used by more than 1.3 million department personnel.
For investors, the deals show how major AI companies are moving deeper into government and defense work. That could create new long-term revenue opportunities, while also raising questions around security, oversight and model access.
The next focus will be how quickly these tools are deployed and whether the Pentagon expands AI partnerships across more defense programs.
