There are over 1,500 holders of SpaceX stock, and most of them own a very small percent. And in fact, the most of the stock, and this is the top line here, 83% of the stock is held by 23 people.

Wow.

At the top of that list, guess what? That is Elon Musk and the Gigafund. Then you have the Saudi private or public investment fund, that’s about a $26 billion holding. D1 Capital, then you got Nvidia, Capricorn, a bunch of names I’m probably not familiar with. Ontario Teachers own $8.7 billion worth. That’s a huge fund right there. And as we were just talking about over the break, Alphabet owns a nice chunk as well. Um, so there are a lot of smaller holders, as in fact, most of them are smaller holders, but they own a very, very small chunk. So, let me go back here. I’m going to I’m going to chart the price action in SpaceX to kind of give a timeline here. The $150 is a big, uh, number because that was the opening print if you’ll recall. That was the biggest opening print ever for a new IPO in its listing.

And so where is it right now? SpaceX is trading at 14741 and we’ve seen it kind of touch this level before early on when it had that big meteoric rise to 225, then it came crashing back down. 150 has been a key level. So that’s the one I’m really watching here. If it can get above that, I think it’s got a decent shot at seeing 200 again pretty soon. Um, but it could also roll over.

The stock actually went up on the first on the first expiration day.
01:51 Speaker A
That surprised a lot of people.
01:54 Speaker B
Yeah. So, I mean, was it just that there was a lot of selling going into it probably that people anticipated it was going to happen.
01:58 Speaker A
That SpaceX got cut in half, more than half. So it was at 225 traded all the way to down to 104 in change. I think it was just beaten up and you had people who were willing to step in there. This is a fund not we were just talking about the big holders, but this has a ton of retail interest too. I follow Vanda Track and every week they’re out with a new note that these are loyal followers of the stock. So, yeah, last week or the week before when uh we had that 919 million share lockup expiration, stock did very well the next day. Now, as you said, we have another 319, 320 million dollar or not dollar, but 320 million shares. And we’re going to see one of those every two to three weeks into their next earnings report. And so we’re just scratching the surface of the shares that are going to be unlocked here. And then the big ones are next year because after a year, Elon Musk gets to sell his. I don’t think he’s going to destroy the share price. He tends to take out loan on his loans on his stock, uh, when he needs cash. But yeah, I think, you know, the net net, the share, the share unlocks are probably going to be a force, especially as the stock climbs higher and higher, if it climbs higher and higher. Uh, but so far we haven’t seen it be an issue.
