Meta (NASDAQ:META), Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), and some of the biggest names in tech are being pulled closer into Washington, as President Donald Trump taps industry leaders to help guide policy on emerging technologies.

The new council brings together a high profile group, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Oracle’s (NYSE:ORCL) Larry Ellison, AMD (NASDAQ:AMD) CEO Lisa Su, and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) co founder Sergey Brin. It will be co chaired by David Sacks and Michael Kratsios, and is expected to focus heavily on how technologies like AI shape jobs, productivity, and long term economic growth.

On paper, the goal is collaboration. The White House wants input from the companies actually building these systems as it navigates what it calls a Golden Age of Innovation. The council could eventually expand to as many as 24 members, which suggests this may become a broader forum for shaping tech policy over time.
