It’s a vertical integrated food platform. So what that means is we have a brick and mortar location where we’ve built the technology to cook 26 different restaurants across every cuisine type with no gas, no flames with very lightly trained people. Um, everything from a high-end steakhouse, Bobby Flay steak, Jose Andreas, burgers, barbecue, Chinese, Mexican, Thai, pizza, fried chicken, fast casual Mexican bowl, salads, everything, you name it, it’s all being cooked under one roof in 2,500 square feet. The benefit for the customer is that you can order from multiple restaurants in one single delivery. We also have built all the software and we bought GrubHub so we own the delivery. So it’s fully vertically integrated so we can time the cooking with the delivery. We set a tight delivery radius. You’re getting the food hotter, faster, and at a much lower price.
01:03 Speaker B
I’ve been really, so I’m an avid GrubHub user and uh I’ve ordered a couple times and I’ve gotten a Wonder bag. And I didn’t realize it’s even coming from Wonder.
01:14 Speaker A
Yeah, we do, we do uh have the restaurants available on the delivery aggregators to just bring more people into the into the Wonder, but um the majority of our traffic and orders come through our own app and website, about 85%.
01:31 Speaker B
So I mentioned to you before we got on here, there’s a Wonder location opening up by my house, really right by my house. I’m like, I know the guy that found the company. Um, what is going to go in a building like that?
01:45 Speaker A
Yeah, so there’ll be a small uh front of house, maybe 10, 15 seats. Um, most of it is going to be pickup and delivery. And in the back, you know, that’s where we’ll build the infrastructure to cook the 26 restaurants today. In the future, there’ll be hundreds of restaurants available out of that single location when we add in automation and robotics.
02:08 Speaker B
This sounds like the ultimate AI play and it’s not lost on me on a morning after where you heard Google taking up its CapX by billions of dollars, Elon building robots and spending almost $30 billion in CapX this year. How are you spending on CapX related to AI?
02:26 Speaker A
Yeah, so you mentioned we bought Spice robotics. So we’ll be rolling that um it’s an infinite make line, we call it. It makes 500 bowls an hour perfectly. So across every cuisine from salads, fast, Mexican, Greek bowls, poke bowls.
02:40 Speaker B
That was the tubes that they had, right? That were
02:42 Speaker A
Tubes comes down, the bowl turns, it puts the ingredients beautifully in the bowl, so you get a perfect bowl every time. It can do about 10 to 15 million in in sales out of 300 square feet or annually. So, um we’re really excited to get that launched in our first location next three weeks, then we’re going to roll it out. Um, not only are we going to be using that for all of our bowl brands and acquiring bowl brands that we can plug into the platform, but starting in November, Wonder create, anyone will be able to build their own bowl concept that plugs into the machine for 10 bucks a month. So you can build your own restaurant, come November, 10 bucks a month, we’ll do everything.
03:26 Speaker B
That’s Wow, I don’t have to do anything.
03:28 Speaker A
You don’t have to do anything.
03:28 Speaker B
So if I have a great steak recipe, I can just come up with various steak.
03:31 Speaker A
We’re starting with bowls, but then eventually other restaurants as well. So you build your own fast casual Mexican restaurant and we will source the ingredients, we’ll make the bowls, and we’ll deliver it.
03:45 Speaker B
How big an opportunity you think that is?
03:48 Speaker A
I I think it’s a massive opportunity. I think there is the the obviously the influencers, you know, using their followers to build restaurants and send demand. If you as a creator make like a 10% profit margin, um, so it’s a it’s a really good, you don’t have to put up any capital.
04:03 Speaker B
Maybe I will start that restaurant.
04:05 Speaker A
But but I think there’s a long tail where I think people will build restaurants just for their family or or even for this themselves because you can perfectly portion, get the perfect micro and macro nutrients, right? It’s perfect dispensing. So you can say I want a 450 calorie bowl with 30 grams of protein. and then come February, we have the infinite sauce machine where you can make your own sauce recipe according, you know, with 152 raw ingredients.
