NEW YORK, NY, Feb 27 – Toymaker Hasbro on Friday joined โhundreds of companies suing for refunds โof tariffs paid under President Donald Trumpโs emergency โtrade measures, which were deemed illegal by the U.S. Supreme Court last week, according to court documents.
The Play-Doh-maker, which did not โdisclose how much โ it has paid in IEEPA tariffs, is requesting full refunds along โ with interest. The lawsuit joins more than 2,000 similar cases filed in the U.S. โCourt of โInternational Trade since โApril.
French beauty group โL’Oreal , British vacuum manufacturer Dyson and contact lens maker Bausch + Lomb on Monday filed lawsuits against U.S. Customs and Border Protection over IEEPA refunds. Beanie Babies maker Ty Inc. โalso filed a similar โlawsuit this week.
Hasbro is being โrepresented by law โfirm Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, which โis also representing Swiss โsportswear company โOn and personal care product maker Conair in their respective IEEPA lawsuits.
Hasbro did not โimmediately respond โto a request for comment.
